Anyone Running Six or More Screens?

Quote from flipflopper:

Are you kidding???

I have two PCIE slots.

Are you telling me I can just buy an extra PCI vieo card and run six?!?!

Monitors 5 & 6 can possibly run off of an Nvidia NVS 280 PCI card, but the max DVI res on it is 1600x1200.

You want to run 6x, 1920x1200 monitors... your choices of video cards is sharply limited.

Ok cool.

So I'll keep quadro get another quadro and motherboard that supports it and I should hopefully be set. Thanks so much for your help.

I feel better now. This was getting frustrating!!! I now have 4 video cards and a motherboard to put on ebay!!!

Any suggestions on a high end motherboard that supports the dual quadro's?

I don't know. There are a few ET'ers who run 2, Quadro Quads... perhaps they will chime in.

Other alternative... get a mobo with 3 or 4 PCIE x16 slots and just get 3 or 4 Quadro NVS 290 or 285 PICEx16 cards.

The dualhead cards will be significantly cheaper than 2, 440's...

Ha!!!! Don't scare me!!

But on another note the NVS 440 is made by HPQ the 290 is made by PNY.

I know I know I'm pushing it but do you think that may cause an issue?

2 Matrox quads for 8 years, not one problem. I know that Goldman uses Matrox

Thats because Matrox were the first dual head cards to come out with independent desktops. In fact the whole dual head line by Matrox was developed for the financial services industry.
