Thing is many of us have seen it all being here for many years, the guru offering to mentor.
Let me tell you the most honest truth.
Trading is something that requires full dedication, no part time traders making money. Those are called investors making money in bull markets. Trading requires years of experience trading in front of a screen, no amount of teaching will push you up that curve. It is an acquired skill not a taught skill.
Trading entails individual vision, 10 people can look at the same charts and trade it 100 different ways and never be able to teach what they see. You see what you see and I see what I see and you can improve my vision but never match yours.
Trading is hard and most will fail for various reasons due to stress, lack of discipline, failure to give it full time and attention, failure to sit through the monotony of winning consistently.
It cannot be mentored and the only one who profits from mentoring is the person receiving the check for doing so. I have dabbled in it (for free thinking that mentoring someone would make my own skills better) and in the end it just distracts from your own trading and you drop it.
There are a number of people on ET who like to help others (a subset of which are actually capable of such) but mentoring is another animal. It requires a great deal of effort and diligence, no amount of which guarantees success for the student who is ultimately responsible for his/her own success. It does happen in a public forum...it has happen here at Elitetrader.com although not required.
Yet, usually when such does happen here at ET...they are not mentoring anyone. They are doing it in hopes of trying to stay in their trading plan to reach some goal they have after they realize there's problems in their trading.

I do not daytrade stocks. I buy and hold for a long period and write options on it. I follow a value approach in stocks with a technical filter. I find for example canslim with cup and handle or another pattern such as a wedge or flag, lucrative. But what I do as a daytrade in futures can also be used in stocks. But let me repeat one thing here. I do not explain what I do. I help people to discover their own talent. That is the only way to make it happen for them.you said you also trade stocks? do you have something in stocks?
