I happened to watch the weather on tv last Sat. They forecast rain for 5 days - all rain. We cancelled a cook out for Sun. Sun turned out cloudy all day, rained Sun night for a few hours....
NM---Here's the rule of thumb: Never cancel your cook out if the forecast is for less than a 30% chance of rain. Also, the weather can only be predicted for about the current day and the next day, usually.
