No, with use of C# and selenium, it is already implemented to

1) get portfolio and banance
2) deliver a order matrix to IB server, propared by other program with 100 rows.
3) get intra-day data, from webpage (15-min delayed and free)

For example, BaoSteel in China is represented as 691968.SS (Shanghai stock) in yahoo/finance.

Thanks Outlander, I mixed up A and B shares i'm afraid, yet I have a fair idea on how to invest HKD or USD in Hong Kong, my question is concerning mainland shares traded by a chinese citizen in onshore rmb .
Anyone can shed light on wether there are low cost passive ETFs available to locals there ?
Or anyone could offer a mix of 5-15 chinese companies to build a buy and hold mainland portfolio ?

Besides i remember about 1 year ago how the HKSE listing of mainland companies which also had a mainland listing jumped after some new regulation in China allowed investors there (possibly institutional, I'd need to look that up) to invest in their HK listing. It appeared that the mainland pricing was much higher than the HK listing pricing, but that was before the stock market rout in China.
Do you know if the valuations are still different ?
Also anyone could point me to an financial forum relatively active with a stronger focus on China but english speaking ?

Please note that HK charges stamp of 0.2% while China charges 0.1%, if J heard correctly.

Assume that day-trader usually trade once every day with a seed of 100K. For 240 days for ONE YEAR, he pays 61.5K by 1.002^240 = 1.6153 while China trader pays ONLY 27.1K by 1.001^240 = 1.271097.

Every year difference is 61.5-27.1=34K. After compounding for 50 years it is a huge money.

PS) Also compare broker's commission for each country.

I'd read about the premiums but just found out about the hang Saeng AH premium index, can't say it looks atractive to invest in the mainland rather than in HK. Real estate also went through the roof down south last year, and interest rate are down, I don't find very exciting ways to invest onshore rmb.

Yeah, give me the email address so I can send the paper account to you. Also I'd like to know how you send order with web crawling code, although I really can not imagine how that could be done, since you need to download a software to send order, instead of using web page.

ETF is too complex to build, I don't think anyone can or allowed to do it. Only those company with investor licenses can do it.

Are you talking about the A and B share of the same stock? I think the price difference are still there, but that's not mean it's easily profitable by doing arbitrage since A and B are not convert-able.

It was done by C# and selenium. Without study long-time, you cannot understand code.
