If you're shopping for monitors, try to get the biggest bang for the buck. Look for WUXGA 1920x1200 or 2048x1152, these are computer resolutions for text and spreadsheets. They are alittle more expensive than dept store (bestBuy) 1920x1080 (TV std aka 1080P). You'll get more screen space. Shop around, should be able to find under $200. Beyond this resolution will cost over $800/monitor, plus a high end graphics cards for around $400. 2 monitors at 2560x1600 is similar to 10 monitors at 1024x768
And for computers, intel core 2 2.4+ cpu is fine, they're cheap. Quad core is nice but overkill, trading software is not multi threading to take advantage of quad die cpu.
But if you made lots of profitable trades, knock your self out. Spend 10k for your trading workstation, go for the best money can buy. You'll easily find it...
