Anyone going to the NY Trader Expo?

this year I found many interesting vendor; a guy with iDayo Indicator, I guess his name is Dayo, his presentation was credible with claim of 50%+ average return for 9 years. Tom O'Brien seminar talked about his definition of 'quality' volume, very good. Tom Incorvia seminar talked about his 'get on the trend' set up and money management, good. Steve Brumbelow seminar talked about DynamicTrend profile I signed up for expo special 2 for 1 month deal, will review later. The ART (Applied Reality Trading) was interesting but it needed individual tweaking to optimize the signal, may be later! Pace Capital Group claim to be Leader in Managed Forex Account but I had seen better number, passed. I got a CD SuperStructureTrading from Ken Chow, will watch. I missed both Cater and Hubert talk. I couldn't make it to The Best Traders You've Never Heard Of, anybody there please report? Paid event "Ordinary People, Extrordinary Profit's' got canceled, my guess is ordinary people don't dream of extraordinary profits. There are many interesting seminars this time, last year all I can find was John Person seminar. All and all this is the best year yet 
ps. forgot 2 more guys; Brian Shannon opinion was level 2 is faked since he can hide his order and presumably everybody else. Then I went to Fausto Pugliese talk and his opinion is read the level 2 and fade what it is showing you in the most obvious way. So there you have it do not trust what ever level 2 is showing you, do the opposite. Side note: I was so excited to see Ablesys 11 year S&C magazine awards demo trading signals until an ET member told me he tried it 3 times before gave it up, he saved me some money, thank.

Are you kidding me? I walked out after 15 minutes. They touted that they didn't use TA or fundamentals. Pay their subscriptions fee, log in and trade their picks to get rich.
Same thing with NetPicks. Walked out after they started talking about the ownership membership. One indicator and everyone does the same trade. I think they are hoping for a collusive effect.
Initially I really liked Najarian's free seminar. Really smooth and persuasive presentation but after I did some research on ET, it became clear his track record just wasn't there. Someone mentioned he had a losing 2006. Just too many trades. I think he's on the right track by going where the option volume is, but I think the fact that he has to report so often dilutes his results. Plus his book apparently sucks.
So far the best and most informative seminar I went to was Chirichella's Geopolitics of Energy. His argument that fundamental factors will continue to push oil higher was very compelling.
Same thing with NetPicks. Walked out after they started talking about the ownership membership. One indicator and everyone does the same trade. I think they are hoping for a collusive effect.

I liked this show better than the previous two. There was more optimism in the air and the average vendor had better answers to my questions, which made a difference to me. Of course, by now I know most of them and, since I don't trade Forex and didn't want to talk to the exchange folks or the guys who were looking for rich investors for their energy etc special projects, the list was not that long.
I stopped by many of the free seminars, but didn't stay until the end at any of them - perhaps they all sounded very familiar or perhaps I've heard it all before. I didn't bother with the Best Choice software, and a couple other similar booths. However, I did listen to the VectorVest people: they seem to have a good search engine and some ideas of how to trade for the longer term. If anyone knows how good their proprietary algorithms are, please post something.
I was surprised to see that Pristine downgraded their presence there - same with Realtick and a few others. But the big brokers (Tradestation, Ameritrade, Cybetrtrader, etc) and also eSignal and Genesis had good information and interesting mini-seminars. Traders International didn't show up this time, which was a loss for the show because they have been entertaining the crowds for several years there. Oh well, maybe next time.

i notice that regarding pristine. they reduced a huge booth with multimedia last year to a card table and a lonely looking guy just sitting there bored. is ollie velez still with pristine? it looks like he joined HLV capital-- does anyone this story?
