If he had gotten just half the votes, then McCain would have won, no? Perhaps your math is too advanced for me.
As for wishing him to fail, I guess you don't have America's best interest at heart. Well, at least now we know.
Common tactic for people who want to argue but have no argument is to pretend not to understand the meaning.

P.S. Just to make sure, I understand it's couple percentage points(roughly) from 50-50. 2% edge achieved by spending eight times more $$$. (Plus racist black vote, 95 % or so).

Sorry, Cesko, I genuinely thought you meant only half the votes that McCain got. I missed your context, which is why I raised the question. As for your comments on campaign spending and racist black votes, perhaps it took a bit of doing to overcome the racist white vote. You are the one who brought up race in your post. And since you feel compelled to reference the racist black vote, I feel compelled to reference your racist white vote:

Who other than a racist or bigot would want his own president to fail? I'm Canadian and didn't like Bush from the get-go. But I never once actually wished that he should fail. Nevertheless, Bush managed to do so without any such dire wishes on my part. Your apparent hatred of President-Elect Obama is evidently visceral, which reflects very poorly on your character. Feel free to be ashamed of yourself.
Let's not distort history. Obama needed all the cash he could get because:
a)He is a black man
b)He was uknown nationally before the campaign
c)He wanted to compete in many states
d)He is a democrat and democrats don't get elected president all too often(Clinton "crashed the party" thanks to Perot)
e)He wanted to be ready for the republican attack machine.
He successfully avoided being "swiftboated" and stayed on a consistent message while Gore and Kerry went down in large part because of moronic ("I invented the internet") and ("Swiftboating") ads
P.S for purposes of political elections in US 52% is not half, it is called victory(assuming electoral college does not interfere).
P.P.S Let's not compare people's attitude towards Bush and Obama. Many people hated Bush from the get go because of the way he won (he stole the election thanks to Katherin Harris, Jeb Bush, Butterfly Ballots and the Supreme Court) do not equate this to ultra right's hatred of Obama.

You are quick to judge. Blacks voted for Obama because of color of his skin which equals to racism. Tell me out of all those blacks who voted for him how many cared to read anything about Obama's past? Would you agree it's close to none? So color of the skin was the only thing that mattered to them.
I, on the other hand, spent few hours(at least) reading material about Obama's Chicago journey and I stand by my comment that he is a con. So I am not ashamed but should be offended by you calling me a racist.
Put it this way, if Thomas Sowell is on the ballot I prefer him to Pelosi, Barney Frank or Harry Reid and the likes without hesitation. How does that make me a racist?

Meanwhile, Obama selected his cabinet from both sides of the aisle. He's a better man than you'll ever be and yet you can't seem to get enough of judging him. Why is that not surprising, seeing as how you wish for your new president to fail and promise to rejoice if he does so?
