Anyone gave up trading for a living?

What's a "chart annotator"? Something on a submarine??

Give it up already! Not sure what you are trying to prove but nobody cares. I have a lot of respect for DbPhoenix and appreciate the knowledge he brings to the forums. If you don't, that's fine. Just don't need to read your negative comments.

Db is not here to make calls and tell everyone buy here/ sell there, etc. What I appreciate about him is that he gives you a point of view, knowledge and educates on an overall way to look at the markets. Educate and give knowledgable advice on reading charts. Then if someone can add it into their trading, great. But it would be how they see fit.

I have a lot of respect for Db and love reading his posts. The knowledge he shares is much more helpful than it would be if he just said buy here, short here, etc. That won't do anything to help ones trading.

Everyone here are adults and can form their own opinion if they feel Db's posts are valuable to them, they don't need you. Seriously.

Thanks,

Even when I traded "full-time" I had a computer consulting business. After passing 45, I felt no longer fit to do coding/systems design, but full time trading never took off either. After two years gap on my resume I have returned to the workforce and I have been working for the past 10 years. The gaps are easily avoided by creative resume writing. :) Still, I am planning to return to full time trading/investing after I finally retire in about 4 years. (emphasis on active investing NOT day-trading or using any leverage which I now consider gambling.)

Care to elaborate on your creative resume writing? How do you get past the background check with whatever you put down on your resume to fill the gap?
