My thoughts exactly...its time to get together (any night except Thursdays!).

I currently live in Seattle(us citizen) but I bought a condo in Vancouver and live up there half the time .
There is absolutely nothing in Seattle as far as trading or prop firms.
I am currently taking the CSC course and CMT just to have on my resume just in case I go thru my money again which has happened 3 times already due to living off profits and one bad year.
Was wondering if anyone knows If I ..a US citizen with possible Canadian residency due to owning a condo...can trade for a firm or even a prop firm.??
Possible under the specialized work visa?

If anyone would be good enough to advise briefly what I need to arrange in order to rent a place, get a visa, get a cable/dsl account etc., it would be very much appreciated. I live in Chicago, but have some familiarity with BC from prior experiences (2-3 week Holidays).

QUISP - Having living arrangements for both the US & Canada, your easiest option would be to trade 6 months, less a day, in Canada and the rest in the US. With this nothing changes... just the amazing scenery from a downtown Vancouver condo!
iceman1 - Also... trading for a very short period of time, i.e. 3-4 months, should not be that difficult, housing is plentiful and very reasonable. There are a couple firms with offices and numerous other's trading under the radar.

That was my question actually.. On joining a prop firm in Canada as a US citizen or working for a hedge fund/small firm.
I tried to start a hedge fund but raising funds was next to impossible despite my record.
