Anyone else w/open position due 2 zero notification from IB HKFE closing 4 typhoon?

KIWI

I didn't see your words

yestoday at that time I was watching TV

I did not save the TS strategy order of yestoday

so I could not afford much proof now

but I do not think it is the problem of TS

I have traded for several months

I did not find the problem before

Robin, the moment TWS receives your orders from TS, if it is then sent to the exchange almost instantaneously, then it cannot be IB's fault.

Check your audit trail.
Unless you can see an obvious delay.....

Once it is send to the exchange, the matching is out of IB's hands....

Unless you want to blame the exchange

Open TWS. Go to View. Select View Audit Trail. Select Monday. You can choose either the condensed or expanded version. This will prove that:
1. It was not IB's fault;
2. It was not the exchanges fault;
3. It was not Mr. Market's fault (bet he's relieved).

thanks Dan for the bloomberg link.

unfortunately, the sgxnk doesn't correlate very highly to HHI. the closest i've got is STW (Taiwan)- i'm sitting here contemplating, as it's not a great alternative either (much better than NK though).

kinda get the feeling that whatever i do, it may just add to my risk. geesh, ANY market but HK, and certainly anything but the HHI- geesh. so much for sleeping tonight...

Yeah, the very last night i ever traded HSI, I had either 1 or 2 contracts on--don't recall--and I was tired and stupidly fell asleep at the wheel. Then, the lunch close and I thought oh, shit! when I woke up like a minute too late. It gapped on re-open and the best I could do was lose about 4200 USD as I recall. It is a beast to be sure. Still, there is that chance that it will gap your way; I mean, I know that's crazy gambling but sometimes that's all that's left. Good luck on finding a decent hedge, esp. with the volatility lately that will be double-tough.

But on a less confrontational note. I've been trading for 10+ years and trading hsi for several years and I am never surprised to discover another problem that I have never had before.

This won't be the last for either of us.
