Anybody Trade from Monaco's Monte Carlo ?

The 0% personal income tax rate is Monaco's raison d'etre. Without that, no one would bother living there.

Unfortunately to be resident in Monaco for tax purposes you need to live within the principality's borders, i.e. pay the expensive rents.

I travel to Monte Carlo every quarter at least (Gricham Jones's Chairman, Mark Haddad-Grisham, is a resident there).

Life seems a bit boring for "youngsters", but streets are clean, feel safe for a girl walking alone (unlike most large US cities, sorry to say).

I'ts not only the real estate: life is amazingly expensive: about $10 for a coke in any bar.

thx,

Sarah

The Bahamas also have no income tax. You can get a residency permit there by buying property of $500K or more. As others have mentioned, it doesn't help much on taxes if you are American. There is an overseas exemption on some of your income however.
