I don't feel that need for attention.
I frankly got over watches a few years ago. I realized that a fancy watch only makes you look like a superficial douche. When i want to look like a superficial douche I wear a watch.
And the only thing douchier than wearing a fancy watch is bragging about it. Like bragging about sleeping with a hot girl but you only laid her because she's an escort.
I don't feel that need for attention.

with that said, 99% of the population would not recognize high end watch beyond rolex or another diamond covered nonsense. it is more like a tribal signaling device. I know i rarely get comments at all when i wear my best pieces no one knows what they are-- and that is the point. those who know know and i have made long term friends who i met via talking watches-- so i think you are being a little extreme.

watch photos are fine. But to show a picture of your car and then mention the price of your watch is ghosh.
Reminds me of a colleague who was on a golf course with clients and he was bragging about his Porsche Boxster only to find out the client was a pretty big PM who was worth like a hundred million dollars.
