Any Virtual private server you can recommend ?

Let me give a simple example of the issue I'm trying to solve by contacting Ryan. If a customer is based in Singapore. The Equity data centers are located in Mahwah, Carteret and Secaucus NJ. The NY4 is the one in Secaucus, NJ and where we have our servers with STT. That provides very fast access to all equity exchanges, as they all cross connect. When you at your home in Singapore download and log into Lightspeed Trader, your data and orders are connected to that server. Messages need to travel that distance. If you use QuantVPS and lease a remote connection to their server located in NY, and you VPN into that desktop. Then you download and log into Lightspeed Trader from NY and not from 9500 miles away. You get a faster more stable connection.

When you place an order, it first goes to your broker, doesn't it? Then it gets transmitted to the exchange, right?

Suppose your broker is in, say, Texas (or somewhere far from Chicago). What difference does it make then whether the VPS is right next door to CME or not? You would still need to route the order to Texas first, dontcha?

Cloudzy services are unmanaged (good luck if you encounter an issue), more expensive, and they do not offer any services in Chicago.
