FWIWI, I have a friend in Italy who trades the MIB future. He says that it's relatively easy compared to the US but I never checked first hand. However it's true that there are only 3 main components that drives it: Finmeccanica, ENI and Capitalia so whenever one moves you have an idication on where the market is going. Again, this are things I heard but never tried. I also heard that in Italy you can't go short. You have to put on a long position up front to sell, that is only synthetic shorts.Quote from milstar:
