Quote from ck9:
"Are you kidding..What are you saying?
Individual Tax is 12.5% for Italian traders who trade with a foreign broker...
as well as with an Italian broker (12.5%)
A foreign trader that became resident in Italy will pay 12.5%
If he is no-resident will pay the tax to its country"
No i am not kidding. et user fabrizio who says he is a full time trader from turin confirms this. he says only 12.5% if you choose risparmio gestito.
next week i will get a copy from the german trader (letter from the ministry of finance in rome)
i contacted two tax consultants who also said 12,5% if you trade through a foreign broker.
that´s the reason why i call it a grey area.
are you a full time trader? tell us about your experiences with the italian irs. if you are a full time trader: have you ever been investigated by the italian irs? if yes, have the accepted the 12,5% on your income earned through a foreign broker?
please share your experience in this area
thanks
