Any recommended youtube trading videos?

SaltNuts,

When I have time, I listen to alot of Ubran Forex videos online by Navin. He does not give any strategies, but he discusses how to think about market context, why price is doing something, how to question ourselves as we trade, learning what the market is doing, etc. Market Context.

I want to learn more about why I take trades, and why the market just rallied high or low, where is the important support and resistance and when then I need act. His videos tries to show this. Of course, he does offer a course for more detailed teaching. But most of videos are free online.

Any good youtube videos anyone can recommend, either just to help me learn trading generally, or even better if they talk about strategies that have worked for you? Thanks!

Saltynuts,

Videos, podcasts, blogs, forum message posts, chat rooms or online trading course are not going teach you how to trade if that's what you're really looking for. Yet, it may give you ideas that you can explore, research and then merge the useful info from the junk into your own trade methodology.

Also, if you navigate towards mentoring...find someone to do such with you in person only from his/her trading account with real money on the line.

Yet, if you're just looking for the details of specifc trade strategies...this forum ET is full of threads involving many traders talking about the details of their trade strategies along with many other forums.

Once again, its your responsibility to find the pieces from all the info and put it together into something that works for you while the same info will not work for someone else or vice versa.

Seriously, the entire process can take many years along with lots of backtesting, simulation trading and then small position size of real money trading prior to you going into normal trading.

One issue with watching or reading everything there is about trading is that you risk poisoning your mind with bad ideas. That may take years to unlearned. I've since but a banned on myself from watching anymore online youtube videos.

For a newb, it's very hard to tell the difference between good advice and bad advice. Considering the 95% rule. Most newb will follow the bad advice.

jinxu, you are sooo right.

This is why I just watch the chart and see what makes sense to me. I ask why did price stop here, go there, move fast at this time, slow when here, bouncing here, what is this, why price stop at this indicator, what does this mean, why I entered and it ain't moving, I am in, now what do I do, when will I get out, why am I getting out, what or who is in the way of my profit target, why do I think this is my profit target, is my stop loss in good spot, why i should it be here, should I breakeven , why I am breaking even, why breakeven anyway. Forget breakeven. What is the market doing this morning and where can I makes some money at?

I just ask myself questions. I do come to ET to get an overall opinion on something I am thinking to get overall opinion.

I just chose to take the my way approach or the Hardaway (the hard way) approach like below. Song sums it for me.

I think you should narrow the field by style, but here are some of the ones I follow:
