Sorry if this is obvious, but in case it's not: one VPS isn't identical to another. There's plenty of VPSs that are available for a whole lot less than $45, but their performance may be quite lacking. Furthermore, whether you go with AMP's offering or a different vendor, I'd suggest doing a bit of homework on them (not on AMP themselves, whomever they're getting it from. Hard to imagine their managing it on their own).
There's nothing like having positions open and/or a trading system be running remotely, and not being able to access your VPS, for 1 minute, 20minutes, etc. The company you go with could be a factor in if (or how often) that scenario occurs.
