Soon... credit cards won't work. debit cards won't work. your supplies of franchised food networks will break down. then what you do?

continue to pretend you pieces of shit are hot shit. that's what you do.

Someone's been short the last 600 points.....

It all depends on what lifestlye you like,
and what hobbies, business you do .
for trading ,,in Asia -pacific region you need to trade the US markets in the evening/night , for the mediteranian region it would be in the afternoon /evening . FX / currency would different times again
what culture do you like ? european , arab, south american or Asians ?
what religion do you prefer,,,christian, moslem or Buddist ,etc.?
each country has specific culture related. to religion.
do you prefer warm climate or cold climate ?
what kind of taxes would you want to pay ?depends on your citizenship deemed residence staus if you can defer taxes . married or single ? then narrow down the choices , take a holiday ,and meet a few people to experience the local lifestyle.

Zen Buddism vs. Roman Chatholic Christianity is a significant cultural difference. Credit usage vs. equity/wealth building, size and use of residential space. A sense of entitlement vs. sense of honor.

Akuma

Why not? The countries are quite similar in many ways - climate, geography, parts of culture. Japan has shintoism and buddhism, Taiwan has taoism, to my understanding they are not completely different.
Even though I like that area the most myself as well, the taxes are not that low and living can be a bit on the expensive side. I haven't seen the OP talk about taxes yet.

I'm not sure whether you are talking real ex-patriation (aka citizenship change), or if you are just looking for foreign residency.

I realize your handle is anime-related but I will not assume that you are Japanese-American. Even if you are Japanese-American though, good luck getting Japanese citizenship. If you are not full blooded Japanese, you have not a shot in hell frankly speaking. We are talking about the most xenophobic country in the first world, (and damn near the world altogether).

Not that I don't like the Japanese, but we just have to realize, they really don't like us (non-full blooded Japanese) from an ethnicity perspective. I mean they really don't like that about you, even if they don't show it.

At any rate, while I agree Asia is the place to be business-wise, I'm not so sure it is the place to be citizenship-wise. I think there are some (privately-sourced) western European solutions to this problem, which will not necessarily mean you have to live in western Europe...

I agree with some of the others here that it is probably best you proceed with caution and diligence on this matter, and try a few locales out on a temporary basis before going all-in if we are talking about citizenship change.

you must be kidding...name a few reasons,i'm all ears.
last time i checked, price of pretty much everything is at least x2 of US prices. and i'm talking about basic necessities.

Strange. When I last looked into it, vodka, loose women, and cocaine were all cheaper in Russia than USA.

How about one of the places where people are happiest?

That puts Denmark at the top. It only rains 6 months of the year, the "summer" generally falls on a Wednesday, and they pay 60%+ in taxes, so what could possibly be wrong with that?

My conclusion is that it must be because of Tuborg, Carlsberg, Snaps and Gammel Dansk :)

Not to mention that almost everyone are nice, welcoming, speaks multiple languages, and are highly educated.

Denmark and the southern part of Sweden(Malamo) are my favorite places in Europe.

Moscow is 15(use to be #3,NY is 29)

Accommodations also cost a lot: EuroCost International estimates the average expat in Moscow pays at least $3,300 per month to rent a two-bedroom apartment.

this 2 bedroom apartment will be smaller than my bathroom in US..

dunno about cocaine and women, but i know about thing or two about alcohol prices(and quality of "local" one)
here is imported absolut in moscow supermarket-

Quote from Bob111:

at some point of your life good medical care facilities near by will be more important than fresh chicks. as for clean water and food..i spend 30 years in Russia, born there, married, serve the army..you don't have to tell me about how clean the water or how great food quality is..
Vikana is right-you have to live with happy people. happy, wealthy and speak the language you know. russian is not an easiest language to learn. don't forget crime rate and terrorists. having dual citizenship i prefer live in US and pay higher taxes. i guess i'm just stupid..:p

I don`t look that far, and i hope that point in my life will never come.I don`t want to maintain that mummy type of body and prefer to die when it discontinues function properly. You can try to live 300 years if you want. But that`s you, not me.

I`d prefer to die on a fresh chick:D

And Russia is not all about Moscow, anyway. But if you don`t like it, then fuck Moscow and...fuck Russia,TOO!Fuck everything that you don`t like...I wanna see more happy people, too.I agree

:)

I`d like to go to Nepal. But i need a fresh chick to go with me!:D
