Just curious to know if anyone here work on any other form of trading/investing besides day trading?

As for myself, I'm still new to this day trading game. I haven't even started yet nor did I have trust in it. However, I'm willing to have an open mind and start out on smaller scale to see where it leads. Possibly create a system in a near future. Who knows....

Any response is a good and valuable response. Thank You.
 
I strictly trade, right now.
Maybe when my acct gets big enough, then I'll rest on my laurels -- and be happy, or content, to just let it sit in the SPY/S&P 500 ETF o_O:rolleyes:

I love Trading, don't get me wrong -- but it's also stressful, not something I plan to do forever.
I kind of treat this game like how a professional athlete plays sports.
 
I've constructed low transaction investment models using academically and empirically derived research and results produced from a combination of risk / market factors * and tactical factors. Investing in equities by keying off of the equity markets and economic growth cycles, and by allocating to "cash" or "bonds" during strategic periods, has produced long term risk adjusted geometric growth of assets above buy & hold.
This is a competence that can be learned with 30 - 40 hours a week over a few years though it would be difficult for the average individual to have a 40 -50 hour work week, then have 1) the inclination / aptitude and 2) additional time to master the skills and conduct the research involved.

- Open a Roth IRA
- Sometimes money is made by sitting in cash
- Don't be a hostage to the markets
- let the markets, profitability of the U.S. economy work for you
- live within your means
