Any of you guys up for cops forcefully taking your blood?

You can think of it as invasion of privacy or freedom FROM drunks getting you or your loved ones killed. Freedom FROM seldom gets as much consideration.

Fair enough, and a valid POV

But how far down the rabbit hole do we go ?

Breath analyzers in all vehicles to be used prior to the ignition working.

How about GPS tracking, so if the vehicle is shown to be at a location where alcohol is served, the ignition wont start.

How about no DL for those who may have a genetic proclivity for alcohol abuse ?

The police forces do a pretty respectable job now in locating and arresting drunk drivers without drawing blood.

And just for the record, I dont drink alcohol.

next they will be taking those forcible blood samples and making clandestine DNA data banks with them... just wait...

Yep, that is what I was thinking.....

But of course, they will put the most stringent safeguards on the samples........to protect our privacy !!!

Lets dispense with the hyopthetical ad absurdum debating tactics and take one example at a time.

OK, the question is:

How far do we allow government to invade our freedom in pursuit of drunk drivers...........where does the line get drawn ?
