Any news ? Market spiked down

After jpm bought BSC the dow moved higher by about 1000 points, maybe this is what the bulls would want to push the dow back abover 13k. Market will rally if someone buys LEH for something around $5 billion...
 
What happened?

Somebody with BIG money positions wanted out of oil and everything related to it.

They first started selling the less liquid suff like emerging markets which began selling off 1-2 hrs before the other indexes.

If you noticed, EWZ and other BRIC equities were going lower while energy/resources were going higher and that's a BIG warning sign.
 
rumors that bernanke proposed an 'electrolux bubble', an economy based on everyone flipping vacume cleaners, selling them at ever higher prices

nothing, including oil, goes up forever
 
Emerging markets are ready to correct as well, EWZ is up over 800% in just 5 short years. There needs to be at least a 25% correction in this area especially with the US slowing down.
