I notice that the CBOT doesn't make mention much, of the 2$ multiplier contract. However, I couldn't find and official notice that they were discontinuing it after december. Could you point me to the URL where they mention its demise? I'm sort of sad to see it go, since its such a great learning tool. My first contract I ever traded was a YJ

I'm thinking of getting really long the shrimp.:D

"Discontinuance of Contract Authorization
As previously announced, pursuant to a decision of the Board of Directors, December 2002 will be the final contract month authorized for trading in CBOT® $2 multiplier mini-sized* DowSM Jones Industrial Average ("DJIASM") Stock Index futures. Additional months beyond December 2002 will not be authorized for this particular product."

looks like they will be forcing the little guys ...

to pay up and risk more on the $5 dow mini

The CBOT has waived Exchange fees in the MiniDOW for the 4th Quarter and FFastTrade is offering $1.04 Round Trip. I believe that Liquidity will come to this market. Several large traders have strated to Arb the Floor versus the Screen and it should be a good trade.
