i listened to his podcasts a while back but i guess the saying is true
when the student is ready the teacher will appear.

i got his book and started reading it and it just happened to be at the right moment where i was losing my ass completely in every way possible in my life
and it made sense.

i started applying it to everything including my trading mindset.
how i was picking losing trades with almost 99% consistency all the fn time.
and was draining my account all the fn time with extremely high precision

hoping to maybe find more people here who are on his bandwagon. it seems like a good bandwagon to be on.

ps: the creep who follows me around thinking im promoting tim sykes.

So I wasn't familiar with this guy until seeing this thread and was curious so I have been watching his videos, researching his background, and even downloaded some of his guided meditations over the past week and a half.

So first i started watching some compiled clips like what Evan Carmichael puts out...then some other interviews like impact theory, etc...really liked what i saw until i got to some parts about claiming his methods have healed the blind and had people standing and walking away from their wheelchair, stage 4 cancer disappearing, etc...pretty fantastical claims to say the least. Like damn buddy...are you Jesus my guy?

That led me to his background, (bear with me i'm not going to bash this guy into oblivion...but i do think it necessary to hear out the critics), where apparently he was/is a member of a new age cult called Ramtha's School of Enlightenment. You can look into this yourself but it seems like a pretty shady deal.

Also...i was surprised to find that "Doctor" Joe Dispenza, has his doctorate in chiropractic. This isn't just a huge blow to his reputation, but by the way he presents himself I was just assuming it had more to do with neuropsychology or something more relevant to what he speaks on.

So after continued research I still have to say I agree with his basic message. I really do think that our unconscious selves are the primary drivers of our lives.

Our unconscious is our "will" according to Schopenhauer (at least IMO). And Dispenza's entire teachings are focus on modifying our will.

his basic principle is: Each day we have 90+% the same thoughts as the day before -> same thoughts create the same choices -> same choices lead to same behaviors -> same behaviors create the same experiences -> our experiences create our emotions that influence and reinforce our thoughts -> repeat forever

So the goal in his practice is to show people how to modify their unconscious belief system via meditation and visualization to allow the individual to make new/different choices that lead to positive change. using modern science to study/measure brain activity during these sessions.

Interesting stuff, thanks for bringing him to my attention OP.
 
well considering his retreats are well documented and with his research during the retreats recording everything im assuming that there is evidence.

i also personally have seen people were told they have 3 weeks-6 months to live. they are alive and disease free years later.
including myself. except myself is due to the fact that i cant afford health care and have no choice but to fix it myself multiple times.
i had a very bad stutted when i was a kid that was completely cured by my great grandma casting some spell and literally pushing a tree branch through a hole in the gates.
the cause might be psychological but the problem and the effects on the body is real.
psychological stress causes real physical effects on the body. and thats what he is repairing.

hes definitely not jesus and he is pretty realistic about what he is. he talks about his own reactions to those people healing in few of the earlier videos where he says the reason he started the scientific research is becasue he didnt belive that people were healing and he wanted to see what is happening.

but regardless of what people say. its like lance armstrong being exposed for doping..
on one hand he was inspiring people who belived they could be stronger than their disease.
and by exposing him they closed the door to other people's belief that they could be stronger also.
so is there really a good deed in exposing someone who heals people even by faking it.
the important part is that people belive its possible
 
i personally chose not to search for disqualifying information if a belief can benefit me.
why not chose to believe that you can instead, and use that for you rbenefit?
