any good chat rooms in Paltalk & Hotcomm?

Thanks for your posts but this thread is not if we should attend chat rooms. This thread is about trying to find good chat rooms.

Maybe if we trade the trader's paradise system of using 5 sma it should be good enough:)

I popped back into woodies room today to say hello to everyone and I had conversation with two traders that started in the room back when I did and both stuck it out all this time (1 year), both of them where doing very well and had discoed a few edges that they where working consistently.

It just goes to show you that if you apply yourself and work a technique you can make money with even just the cci alone.

I have often said that if you studied NOTHING but a 5 and 10 ema long enough you could find success, that being said WHY would you STOP with just those tools BUT you must learn the simple stuff first and that's where I think most traders get impatient and want immediate results.

To the fellow that started this thread I wish you luck in your search but the answers you are looking for can still be found in a GOOD book as long as you get a little more realistic about what to expect.

I do not think that 4 points on the ES daily and consistently is realistic without at least 10 years trading experience and even then that's a BIG stretch.

What is your performanace? I can not find in your web sit.

I am still running my room for free on Hotcomm and have no immediate plans to charge for it. It is called Swingtradingchannel and is located on Relay.

i use a hot comm room provided by progers82. its not very exciting but i see all his calls, i see all his orders and positions and since im a longer term day trader, it fits my style. it cost me a bit but more than made up for the difference. there is no talking much in this room. i just look at his order and open position screen.
if your looking for an room full of excitement and talk and tons of trades, this is not it.

My OPinion!

You have been told that chat rooms are distracting and just places where focus is lost. Even free rooms are a distraction. Buffy & Woodie are great examples. Both are absolutely wonderful people but, in my OPinion, if you look at Buffy's charts long enough you will get a migrain. They make better art than a trading map. Woodi's charts on the other hand are a lot simpler but the concepts take forever to grasp. Samson's couple of friends still in the room after a year can attest to that. Brandon, for whatever reason, has problems answering questions in free forums and has numerous computer problems so I do not see how that would improve in a closed, even free, forum. Samson restated this concern with chat rooms and suggested books which are definately better than chat rooms but not the apex of the learning experience. My point is, regardless of the advice you get in this thread you will do exactly what you want no matter how detrimental it is to your trading experience. This is the main reason why professional traders think mentoring is such a joke. Students, especially older ones, don't do what they are told even if they are being given the information from individuals that have a lot more experience or verifiable data. They don't want to put forth the effort to succeed they want a quick answer which doesn't exist.

Charlie you are a VERY wise man !!!!

So when are you opening your room?

Just teasing :p

I did not specify how many trades per contract per day but the commission should not be a high percentage of the profit.

Today I was in the Trend123 Future room in Paltalk. She said made 10 pt per ES contract. It should be good but they were not clear to me. One trader PM me towards the end. He did not get those calls either. They were not clearly posted all the time. Half of the time she said those of you that are short & those of you that all long.... One trader PM me then to ask which way she is & said she will never loss to long & short in the same time:) When someone do not post entry and exit in real time, it should not be counted. She is clear to call possible levels like others but not clear in calls most of time. Most rooms are like that, they said they are trying to educate. What a joke!

Hehe, and to think that I sometimes think that perhaps I am to harsh on these scam operators. It turns out you can never be too harsh on them. I can't believe that people are even hanging out in this room. I hope it is free, isn't it?

They are trying to educate??? How to lie?

Thanks, been there . . . done that . . . :D

When I see someone banging their head up against a wall I just have to walk over and try to knock the wall down because that is the only way they will stop.

Keep your genius coming as well. This site needs all the balance it can get.

What does progers82 trade?
What is the system?
How much is the room charge?
Any charge for education/tools?
How much money can you make/day?
How many emini contract/lot? How many stock shares/lot?
Is it easy to follow?
How about the learning curve?
Any performance shown in his web site if he has one?

Thanks!

HE trades the emini on a long term day trading system. he asks $300 but i got a better deal. how much you can make a day is a un realistic expectation. how much a month is better. he does not ask me how many contracts i trade. if you can read english, you can follow the system as it displays the orders to buy or sell. i asked for a performance report and he sent me one.
hope that helps. mama vivian
