Agreed. I'm surprised that all of the chat rooms mentioned are tout-oriented. I don't have a problem with that, but are there any chat rooms that are essentially just a bunch of traders talking about what they are seeing in the markets?
Don't be surprised...
This thread was started by zxcv1fu that was only interested in a specific type of room...not the ones your suggesting.

Many information in Vu's room, I like Christine Grace. She gaives clear stop & entry.
I am looking for a chat room that run by sucessful moderators to provide clear calls & make $$$. Many just tell you the support & resistance level but not clear calls.
Later, discussion turned into any type of rooms...gurus, non-gurus, fee-based and free...
zxcv1fu returned and got the thread back on course via the following...

The kind that traders post all their trades are every where. If anyone is interested in such please start another thread to find out. Vu's room will fall into this category. It is highly recommended. I attend his HC room sometimes.
In this thread we are interested in a mentor lead chat room. Let's focus in this kind. So far we have not found one that really making $$$. I have hooked up one good trader to trade big hedge $$$. He is not interested to have a chat room or teach anyone.
Thanks for all the posts, please keeps them coming.
wOg...if you use ET search menu you'll find some of those other types of rooms.
Many of those types of rooms your looking for are on either the FinancialChat server or the Othernet server.
There's been in-depth discussion here at ET about rooms where just a bunch of traders get together and collaborate...
No gurus, no signal calling by a head trader, traders helping traders if help is asked and free.
There are hundreds of rooms like that and many are very specific to what type of traders are welcome.
However, from my experience, the best rooms tend to be private or invitational only although free along with the number of room users averaging less than 25.
And there are traders meeting via either something like Yahoo! messenger or ICQ but I don't like such types because they don't allow for more in-depth room management as some of the other software programs out there.
