Trump rages hush money trial 'cannot be allowed to go forward' 24 hours before court date

Approximately 24 hours before he is expected to begin appearing in a Manhattan courtroom for weeks
to face 34 felony counts that could land him in prison, Donald
Trump launched a fresh attack on Judge Juan Merchan and
demanded his court date be postponed. Again.
Lawyers for the former president spent last week flooding the court docket with a flurry of filings asking for a postponement of the criminal trial that will take up his alleged hush money payments to adult film star Stormy Daniels
before the 2016 presidential election.
After seeing his demands for more time or dismissal of all charges fail to persuade the judge, Trump took to his Truth Social platform to complain he and his legal team still have not had enough time to prepare for the case that was filed by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg
over a year ago.
As part of his Sunday social media post, the embattled former president, who is on a losing streak in New York courtrooms, insisted his latest trial "cannot be allowed to go forward,"
He wrote, "Judge Juan Merchan, perhaps the most highly conflicted Judge in New York State history, only gave us a short period of time to read and study hundreds of thousands of pages of documents that D.A. Alvin Bragg illegally hid, disguised, and held back from us. Of course, and as the Judge knows, we need far more time than that. They could have started this Fake Biden Trial many years ago, not right in the middle of my campaign for President, and time would not be a problem. This is a blatant and unprecedented attack on Crooked Joe Biden’s Political Opponent (who is leading in every poll!), done in close coordination with the White House, that cannot be allowed to go forward!"
The former president recently stated in a fundraising email all "
hell would break loose" on Monday.
