Judge Aileen Cannon will be assigned to oversee at least the initial stages of Donald Trump's classified documents case in Miami, ABC News reported Friday.
"Cannon's apparent assignment would add yet another unprecedented wrinkle to a case involving the first federal charges against a former president: Trump appointed Cannon to the federal bench in 2019, meaning that, if Trump is ultimately convicted, she would be responsible for determining the sentence.
The judge previously helped Trump impose a special master to sift through the documents from Mar-a-Lago. She was not only overruled by a higher court, but they went so far as to accuse her of flouting the law. The three-judge panel accused her of imposing things that have no relevance to the case.

Maybe I'm just remembering my disdain for the show. The first season or two were worth watching. It went downhill from there. Trump was just looking for chaos, not aptitude or ability. He fired contestants which he probably deemed were boring rather than incapable. And there went the premise of the show. And the celebrity apprentice bullshit? The one who knew the most or richest people to donate to some cause won. Wow. Worth watching.
The last season with Trump numbers were 7.6 million viewers per episode.Down from the beginning but not in any any danger of being canceled unless Trump wanted to much money to continue.The fact that they tried to keep it going with Arnold S likely means it was a success.The numbers for Arnolds season was 4.8 million and I think he demanded a big paycheck that a 4.8 rating likely didn't support.Personally I stopped watching after the second season.

What happened to the special master thing? Dead end?
I watched it for a season or two in the early days when all I knew about him was a guy I met in Africa from Manhattin did coke with him/same side room at his "one stop party" but after a couple of times seeing the obvious episode winner capriciously bumped I lost interest.
The UK one was better.
