I trade it as part of an option strategy. CAD is in transition now, what has worked for the last 2 years is no longer the way to go. Watch out for the trade surplus disappearing, when that happens a major support with be gone.

Right now the best way to trade CAD is fading moves in the Asian session. After 3am it can get pretty ugly
