Don't know the reasoning. Maybe red color is too depressing or something.
Platforms don't want those newbies to give up too fast, - it's their source for commissions. It's a loss - but still green. Like for some the cup is half empty and for some it's half full. Marketing games.
Or maybe they had a call from FED :

Dunno what TOS reason is, but in China red is an auspicious colour and the standard to show profits while green is used for Losses. A bit confusing at first.
