When the large majority of the population is demanding that force be applied to end the violent rioting, looting, and burning --- then people will vote for politicians promising to end the chaos with appropriate force. There is a long history showing this.

No Sinclair news locally.. The local Sinclair station is CW22 (WLFL). They play the news from ABC-11 (WTVD) as their their 10pm evening newscast and don't use the Sinclair provided news.

You should really turn on your local news every evening and watch the first 15 minutes if you live in the U.S. Most of the newscast covers rioting, looting, and mayhem.

Our newscasts in Raleigh and Durham includes nearly daily interviews with business owners whose downtown businesses were with looted or damaged.

Nearly every Friday and Saturday the prime time shows on ABC, NBC, and CBS are preempted to cover the chaos in downtown Raleigh and Durham.

Everyday in the news people are demanding that politicians and police take action to end the violent looting and riots. Business associations are taking out ads targeted at mayors demanding a crackdown.

This is the world that people in the U.S. are seeing everyday.

I do watch the local news on IP TV, particularly from around where my relatives live in Louisiana. Calm conversations with locals, reports of some disturbances and really.. just nothing much. NC is a freak show, always has been, the airport is shaped like an assault weapon.

News magnifies things, the reality is its all small beans, even in the few hotspots it is not your "cities burning". Men owe it to their families to keep their heads on and in the US the all mouth no trousers, sky is falling guys are an embarrassment and a huge part of the problem.

Its not big, its nothing really.
