Boomers worked very hard to self-fund their 401Ks for retirement. Boomers put more money into the social security system then they will ever get out of it -- when accounting for inflation & interest over time.

I put the max I was allowed into 401K plans since I started in the workforce. Today we see many young people putting zero into 401Ks while spending all of their money on expensive coffee shops and exotic trips --- then the youngsters whine they have no savings.
