Shoo Cheesey...go away!

Don't you dare ruin the only really good fun on ET. We all know about the multiple aliases.

SO SHUT UP!

Quote from Cheese:

The 'friends' your refer to are your numerous aliases under which you manufacture sh*tloads of tedious & banal tripe .. no offence intended, of course.

All else being said, :D if the method/ system is truly good and profitable by practical experience, nobody on ET even the inventor would be requested/ required/ interested to spend time arguing in order to prove or disprove its merits.

Simply just use the time to make some actual trades with it, Quietly. :)

I respectfully disagree with this premise. I would have agreed 100% with you a couple of years ago. What changed? Simple, I figured out an edge and began to teach it. The edge is ridiculously simple. Most of Elite already possesses it. The problem is that virtually no one can follow a simple set of rules. It's incredible, students say they want to, but when push comes to shove emotions and ego take over. As I began teaching I realized, finally, what is meant by the notion that trading is a psychological game. A game played with one's own ego as the adversary, not the market. My own shortcomings, incorrect beliefs, etc etc as I noticed this stuff in others.

Quote from Trader666:

The snake oil peddler became a stock character in Western movies: a travelling "doctor" with dubious credentials, selling some medicine — such as snake oil — with boisterous marketing hype, often supported by pseudo-scientific evidence. To enhance sales, an accomplice in the crowd would often 'attest' the value of the product in an effort to provoke buying enthusiasm. The "doctor" would prudently leave town before his customers realized that they had been cheated. This practice is also called "grifting" and its practitioners "grifters".

True! :D

I don't teach it freely because my time is worth a lot, to me at least. Nor do I attempt to market myself in any way on Elitetrader. I have bent over backwards to not reveal what company I am affiliated with. But, I desire to be part of some of the discussions on Elite and my life experiences (including that of selling used appliances, digging holes in the ground and yes, that of vendor in the trading arena) have a role to play in those discussions. So, I can't completely hide (nor do I wish to) who or what I am. I have invested an incredible amount of time (many years) and dollars ( tens of thousands not including loss of $$$ from normal gainful employment) to get where I am. Some people are willing to give this kind of info freely. I think that's wonderful. For someone seeking a free "system" I would strongly urge looking at what Spydertrader has shown can work. I have chosen to give in other ways.

The point of my post was that in spite of what Spyder has shown and done and proven, that's still not enough for some people (most people?). You can lead a horse to water (the system) but you can't make it drink (trade the system correctly).

Damn thats smooth true. Well put. But the rules DO have to produce profits over time, not necessarily every day , week or even every month.
The JH 30 min bar break out is a simple set of rules, however it was never profitable in backtesting to 1997 on the ES mini.
