Dear Senor Bogart: Can you tell me where I can access the market for futures on adobe llamingos? I am always looking for new instruments for my Delta Society members to trade. They grew so rich at the expense of market makers in the conventional U.S. markets that the strategy is now routinely faded. So we are looking for new worlds to conquer. Yours truly, Wiles.

P.S.: We don't know and don't care what adobe llamingos are, as long as they are hot
 
It is a sad commentary on ET that a psych thread has to disguise itself in the Strategy forum! By that I mean that the threads in Psych are typically terminally and puerilely (not to mention purely) stupid. And that this thread shows you what complete compulsively neurotic losers the B-Team are. And that if you give ET erudite elegantly intelligent posting (the thread visitors), ET will be drawn to it. I miss the old ET where literary and musical allusions were valued as valid and relevant ("Break on through to the other side!"). A classical education is a rare thing, nowadays, with all these sterile quants about. As I trade NQ throughout the day, I imagine myself to be Odysseus, tied to the spar, my crews' ears filled with wax (naturally occuring for Greeks of that time), while I listen to the Sirens' seamless and continuous calls. "Rockets in the sky!" they cry. "Icebergs ahead!" they cajole. "Come slalom with us!" they invite. Although one can take classical allusion only so far. I personally would have strangled Scheherazade the first night. She runs on at the mouth like Jack.
 
Hi, "Old Man" here. I don't know what those literary upstarts Hershey and Plecostomus are bragging about. MY book has been in print for over 2000 years and has sold hundreds of millions of copies. But chastising them is not my reason for posting. I want to tell you how I apply my own wisdom to trading NQ.

"In quality of mind it is depth that matters.": Always look at the effect of block orders on the DOM

"To retire when the task is accomplished is the way of heaven.": Take the five points and run

"One who excels in traveling leaves no wheel tracks.": Never trade in a market so thin that you can see yourself in T&S

"In the wake of a mighty army bad harvests follow without fail.": ALWAYS play late morning exhaustion

But you knew that already.

And, yes, you fucksticks, you have to set the times to match RMH for the timezone your computer thinks it's in. If you are like me and live in one time zone but set your computer for where you'd RATHER live (PT for me), you have to think a little.

I guarantee that this will warn you one bar in advance of 300% of the breakouts which will occur. A big help to you cretins who salivate over the "Teach Me to Trade!" infomercials with the flashing red and green lights.

Has nothing to do with strategy trading, but it applies fulsomely to the A-Team. (When you look up fulsome in the dictionary, you'll see a delightful word following it: fulvous. Sounds deliciously nasty, doesn't it?

In my NQ trading, I apply Voltaire's:

"If you want good laws, burn those you have and make new ones."

By which I mean chuck most of the hoary old crone ideas you read in TA books and find out what works NOW.

But what do I know? I am dead person, too, just not a famous one. I live on only in the heads of people who loved me.
 
How cheesy of you to say that! You're just jealous because I have lots of friends here and you don't. Now get on topic and tell me something clever about trading NQ, or say something ugly about Jack. Or don't you trade NQ? I certainly hope so. In these dog days we need all the dumb liquidity we can get.
