Imagine living in a country where you can be fired from your job for supporting the President, where illegal alien kids have a leg up on yours in college admissions and scholarships and where we are still in Afghanistan, 17 years later and counting. What have "conservatives" accomplished? Moving the embassy and tax cuts? Of course, most of them want Trump to lose, so they can get a responsible candidate like Kasich up there. Or Jeb.

I completely agree. This is fucked up as hell and I said several times that it is hard.. But, again, I tell you: There is no alternative. The only thing that you can do is to try to gather your fellow Republicans to actually try to change that by cutting government size(MONUMENTAL TASK NOWADAYS). But if you think that by demanding that government does more(wall, tariffs, etc...) is going to change anything, history shows otherwise. If there is one thing that history and facts show is that it will make problems worse or no effect at all at best.
You may not believe that, but as you might know: "facts don't care about your feelings or creed".
"You may not believe reality, but you cannot avoid the consequences of reality".
And the record of history is crystal clear as to how government is incompetent in virtually everything that it sets out to do. To hope otherwise is to simply ignore reality.
