Anti-Crime Activist Shot Dead Following Thanksgiving Dinner

Feel free! I trust you will view each item with the honest, unbiased viewpoint you have applied to all of your past discussions around here.

You are as biased as they come, I am also and we both can be pig headed.

You just need to look at the chain of events. When a list is peppered with accusations that when you look at them have huge logical gaps there is something wrong. We all know about boiled frog syndrome, we know the old one nail will hurt you, a thousand is a comfy bed and how fake facts and lies have become a signature of American culture.

I took interest when I encountered an ex-marine on a Spanish course who was flying home to Florida to vote early for Trump. He was early forties, handsome and quite sharp in a cold calling salesman kind of way though not much third level.

So I asked why Trump? "Because our boys died in Benghazi, Hillary did not get up for the 3am call." I got to the bottom of it, he literally thought there was a 3am call and Hillary being an old woman slept through the ringing phone.

When I explained the actual timeline he responded "It does not matter, I hate her now, my friends hate her". I queried about hating someone based on scant information he now knew to be incorrect. His response was to the effect it did not matter, he wanted to feel good about his vote and right or wrong he would not change his mind now, "a sunken cost". We had discussed trading so the term was familiar.

So WTF can you do when first impressions are both wrong and unchangeable? He might hate her anyway but for things she did not spin he fell for. Accept that or find some way of unhacking the hacked brain that is following the herd. No wonder the US is riddled with flat-Earthers and a thousand other loony fringe beliefs.

Uh, ok. Way to complicated a post for me to get into this morning. I'm sure there is a TreeFrog post somewhere you can go after. :)

Have a happy day!
