The pricing of NxCore is dependent on which data feeds you're receiving (e.g., receiving the official NBBO for all US equities is much cheaper than receiving the full OPRA feed for all US equity options). One additional thing to consider is that I think they want a year contract (In my experience, all of the higher-end data products require this -- I only mention this because NxCore is so accessible that it may interest customers who aren't used to such terms).

If you're really interested, then I'd suggest contacting the DTN/NxCore sales department, which seems very helpful.
 
Occam is correct, it really depends on what data feeds you're receiving. I was looking at just level 1 data for couple of exchanges. And yes the contract is minimum 12 months also. Contact the team at DTN/NxCore, their quite accommodating.

I didn't realize the disparity would be that much based on what feeds you're getting. iqfeed for example has a base fee + a nominal amount more for options ($20 iirc), but perhaps it's a much larger jump for additional instruments on NxCore. $450 actually sounds reasonable, $1500 not so much, so I guess I'll just have to contact them to know for sure.

And how much it cost totally? Is it possible get RealTick without an account? What about latency? I'm trying get as more as possible fast connection by reasonable price. Seems hard task.

IQFeed and NxCore are both excellent IMO, but are totally different products, designed for very different use cases. NxCore's options data gives you the entire OPRA feed, either for every exchange or for the NBBO exchange only -- all symbols, every tick, and there are like 200,000 symbols when it comes to options. This is orders of magnitude more data than IQFeed will allow you to receive at once (e.g., IQFeed has a 500 symbol limit, which can be extended by another 500 for an additional $50/month...but that still doesn't get you close to 200,000).

Do you happen to know the price for NxCore full OPRA feed? I want the full OPRA feed, but can't seem to find a price from anyone except Barchart, which is $3k/mo. NxCore hasn't replied to me even though I contacted them a couple times. A few other places had pretty bad reviews, so I didn't bother with them.

Another suggestion was colocating a server with a company in the same data center as CBOE and then getting a cross connect and getting data directly from CBOE, but I've had trouble finding information on exactly how to accomplish this. I'm quite familiar with colocation, but had trouble finding information on cross connects to CBOE and how to actually get data from CBOE.

For the pricing and other issues, you should call NxCore sales at 800-652-2291, the guy there is quite helpful. I think that the logistics of receiving the full OPRA (best quote for all 12(?) options exchanges) is a bit more complex than receiving just the NBBO, but don't take my word for it.

Regarding your CBOE idea, are they rebroadcasting the OPRA SIP data to you? If you only receive the CBOE direct feed, you'll be missing the other 12(or so?) exchanges and the data will therefore be very incomplete, at least for most of the applications I can imagine. My recollection is that the OPRA SIP (the server that consolidates the quotes) is in NYSE's Mahwah, NJ facility, as it is under their "administration". (Correct me if I'm wrong anyone, my info may be out of date...)

CBOE is not rebroadcasting the SIP as far as I understand. I'm not looking to implement a low latency strategy, but I do need a lot of data for research purposes.

Since Nanex wasn't returning my emails, I decided to just call them. Wish I'd have done that before. I thought they'd waste a bunch of my time and not give me an actual price, but he was very quick and to the point. Unfortunately the price I was given is about 2-3x what I could justify spending and it's a 1 year commitment, so that's out.

Maybe in a couple weeks I'll just go through the complete list of OPRA's data vendors and contact them all.
