Holy crap Nutmeg! Where do you live that you are getting raped that much? I'm in Wisconsin and I never pay more than $1.99 a lb for tomatoes, and that is when I am lazy.Normally .99 cents a pound and that is when I run out of homegrown. We had a big drought this summer and I still have tomatoes coming out of my ears. I'll be making salsa and sauce for a good 5 months to avoid waste. Apples! pm me I'll send them to you for cheaper unless you are across the world. Heck I'll send you tomatoes for cheaper. Geez if I wasn't so lazy I start an overnight business for those prices and make a fortune. Hey want to go in business?

Nest issue....supplements, go back to the 60's and move forward on studies that claimed we need this that or the other thing and we can live to 100 or more, cancer free, etc. My Mom lived to 87, my Dad lived to 89, neither took a vitamin or supplement until they were over 70. I have a hard time believing that made any kind of difference in how long they lived. If you eat at McDonalds etc everyday you might need supplements, otherwise somehow we have aged without the idiocy of supplement science which too often is based on a business making money as opposed to unbiased science.
