Another school shooting

Some of the Uvalde victims would have survived if police and EMS personnel had gotten them quickly to hospitals after the shooter was taken down. This disclosure underlines what a disaster the response was --- and the need to hold more people accountable.

Some Uvalde Victims Were Still Alive When Medics Reached Them In The Classroom But They Were Not Immediately Taken To The Hospital
A lack of coordination between law enforcement and medical staff further delayed critical care to victims who were still alive, according to a report by the Texas Tribune, ProPublica, and the Washington Post.

Wow...very sad.

Gunshot wounds on children are nothing like what one would see in adults. Critical and fast response care must be done right there on the scene prior to moving a child after stabilizing them.

In fact, firearms recently this year became the number #1 cause of death in children in the United States. Just as sad and a crime in itself...the United States now leads all countries in the world (even countries with human rights violations against children).

We are not able to do the right thing to protect children's safety at schools and at home. Our hypocrisy is stunning and criminal in my opinion. It's one of the main reasons why I made the decision to start my family in a country outside of the United States.

I could no longer trust our politicians and police to do the right thing if I raised a family in the United States. Simply, it was my responsibility to do the right thing considering my government and police of where I served in the military could not.

In addition, my own children are aware of the growing violence and rankings in the countries my children have citizenship and residence (Canada, France, and the United States)...they recently stated that when they become adults and decide to raise a family...it will most likely be in Belgium or Sweden...

In a country that values the lives of children instead of politics. In fact, the health and well-being of children in the United States have become higher risk since the birth of my children in comparison to the average of any other country.

Last of all, another scary statistic...guess who are the firearms owners in the United States ?
  • One-third of white evangelicals and about one-quarter of mainline Protestants and Latter-day Saints personally own a gun, compared to 17% of atheists, 17% of nonwhite evangelicals, 11% of Jews and 9% of Muslims)
Simply, disarming a Christian is an impossible task while they blame others. It's been that way since the American Revolution. Sadly, there is a relationship between firearm violence and Christians.

Like the lone sheriff's deputy/school resource officer here in Parkland, FL 4 years ago staying outside waiting for backup. Didn't want to miss out on getting his pension.

Closing arguments set to begin in the trial of the coward of Broward County. Let's hope he gets the max after a guilty verdict.
