I told you this is your problem. The burden is on you. You said secure the schools. I am with that but it’s not enough. Won’t stop a smart killer student from bringing a gun to school. Obviously the armed police couldn’t even stop this shooter. So you need more than just secure the schools. But I will take anything.
And no I am not joking. You may not realize it because you delusionally believe we can live with all of these guns but the idea of free flowing unregulated guns in America is fucking crazy. If you look at the level of guns in America and the growing violence problem and mass shooting incidence rate, gun violence will continue to grow. It’s a mathematical certainty. All things being equal, input equals output, all of our chances of being shot by a gun in America increases everyday. That increase will eventually become more likely than not for all of us if you believe in probability analysis. So, what do we do? Do we arm everyone to at least let them protect themselves or only arm certain people, say over 18? I say, arm the kids. It has to be eventually or end school altogether.
If you follow crime statistics, you’ll notice a curious thing, violent crime has increased while property has not in any significant way. You’ll also notice mass shootings and all shootings have increased as well. This is because of the availability of guns. More guns means more shootings everywhere - gang neighborhoods, your neighborhood, work places, schools, malls, churches, everywhere.
