Another school shooting

It’s a real choice that we make everyday and it’s sick. We have a sickness in America and it’s in the “pro-gun”, NRA voter. These people accept the most immoral of all evil based on lies and fear.
Thing is, it's not only a choice between guns and school. It's a decision between normal civilian life and guns. Schools, sure. But also transit, stores, beaches, restaurants, the workplace. Everything. Some people will accept and insist on guns at any cost. They are sociopaths, plain and simple.

NRA wants you to have guns.... except at their convention.... what are they afraid of?

But the organization that promotes expanding concealed carry laws, background check loopholes and the elimination of waiting periods is once again banning firearms and firearm accessories from their own annual meeting.

According to the NRA's website, anyone attending the forum in the General Assembly Hall at George R. Brown Convention Center with a bevy of Republicans, NRA Executive Vice President Wayne LaPierre, NRA-ILA Executive Director Jason Ouimet and “our nation’s top Second Amendment supporters," will have to leave their guns at home.

All firearms are banned and storage will not be provided anywhere on or near the site—a point the NRA made very clear on their website.

I am not joking. A mentally healthy adult does not accept murdered kids. You’re unhealthy mentally. Whether it’s narcissism or a psychosis I don’t know but you are actually sick.

I don't "accept" it. But my solution differs from yours, because I live in the real world. If you truly cared about the children, where are all your posts about the children in Chicago?

I'm not a supporter for the NRA, which is a political organization. But the NRA doesn't believe you should have guns in the airport, as an example. They recognize that some places should be gun free. Or at least they did when I was a member a decade ago.

There was NO trained law enforcement at the school. The officers responded to his crash and chased him to the school, where he gained entry ahead of them. Had there been a gate to prevent his entry, and an officer guarding the school, he would never have been able to make it to a classroom to commit these horrific acts.

You need to examine what happened before thinking you know.

No but that is as good of a chance as there is. Again this doesn’t stop an armed student either. No guarantee one armed person at only one entrance can stop someone from coming into the school from outside. Pipe bombs etc etc.

How many kids died of pipe bombs in the last...say, 10 years? Hell, 50.

At least one armed law enforcement officer from the Uvalde school district was at the school. That officer exchanged gunfire with the gunman, but the gunman was able to get past the officer, the official said, citing the initial reports.

Tour solution is not effective enough. Keep trying. Maybe fully armed swat at every door?

Again, I don't need to keep trying. If you don't want to offer suggestions to me that I can accept, then we're left with the status quo. But you're not getting my guns, because you aren't able to take away the guns of the bad guys. Case closed as far as I'm concerned.
