Big shock you are a social authoritarian...

Yes, most people are corruptible and they do sell out as they get older...

Has to do with people who are essentially unprincipled...

Quote from jficquette:

Some of it has to do with age. Generally, younger people tend to fall into the communist, anarchist quadrant. As one ages they tend to fall in the captialist, social order side.

Different tests produce different results. I am always left of center and always away from autoritarianism, the level of both varies.

A lot of it has to do with age. Younger people are more likely then older people to fall into the communist, anarchist quadrant. As one ages one tends to move to the captialist, social order side.

So you go from "some of it" to "a lot of it."

Sounds to me like you are "full of it."

LOL!

The author doesn't seem to understand some issues.

For example:

Patriotism is an overrated quality.

The answer is it depends. Blind love in some piece of dirt and blind faith in the political leaders just because you happened to be born there is pretty stoopid. However, thinking that all countries are equal from ones where they hang gays and stone women for getting raped to ones where people are free is equally ignorant. Patriotism that is a strong belief in a good country is a good thing.

If our leader meets with our enemies, it makes us appear weak.

He's attempting to get at the the issue of The One agreeing to stipulation-free meetings, but he does it wrong. Meeting with our enemies is obviously not weak if (say) we are accepting their surrender. Or negotiating a weapons inspection program.

Meanwhile, flying overseas to kowtow and only offer concessions without anything in return is as weak as it gets.

or

Gay equality is a sign of progress.

Sure, if it's accomplished by society. But not if it's done at the point of a gun by the feds. If the feds are telling you that you have to have 3 gay friends, that's not progress - that's a loss of liberty.

or

It is a problem when young people display a lack of respect for authority.

Yeah, that's a bit of a problem. But it's not a problem for the feds.

or

A nation's retirement safety net cannot be trusted to the fluctuations of the stock market.

How about taxing unborn generations to pay for increased retirement benefits? Should the retirement safety net be trusted to the feds? The author's answer to this is obvious.

or

Offensive or blasphemous art should be suppressed.

Here one wonders if the author is referring to the various obscene works of art that were funded by taxpayer dollars. There are only a few nutjobs who think that government should censor art, but a fair number who think that we all shouldn't have to pay (via taxation) for really nasty stuff. Personally, I think we shouldn't have to pay for any of it (with taxes) and that would solve that problem.

Also, the author references "unrestrained capitalism" but never "unrestrained socialism'. The author references corporations becoming too powerful, but never government.

Never the less, here are my results. I'm probably more libertarian in reality and more liberal. If the democrats adopted a limited government platform, I'd be a proud democrat. Maybe they should, now that the GOP has abandoned that idea.

Looks like I am the only really "fair and balanced" person on this site:D :D

What is perhaps most funny is that all of u obsessed with ur hated of the president are clearly right of center.

In other words, everyone u call a "liberal" is actually normal.

U may go back to ur gun rally now:p
