When do we reach the point where we say enough is enough... and implement some common sense gun control laws. I have outlined my proposals in the past.

At least 22 people are dead, and 30 people are injured following a deadly shooting in a Maine city that spanned three locations on Wednesday night, Fox News has confirmed.

The Lewiston Police Department confirmed that the active shooting incidents occurred at three locations— Schemengees Bar and Grille Restaurant, Sparetime Recreation and an unidentified third location.

At 8 p.m., the Maine State Police said, in a Facebook post, that there is an active shooting situation in Lewiston, a city of 36,000, 35 miles north of Portland.

A local hospital, the Central Maine Medical Center, said that they are reacting to a "mass casualty, mass shooter event."

As of 9 p.m., the hospital said that they cannot share the specifics on the number of casualties.

"Central Maine Healthcare is coordinating with area hospitals to take in patients," the hospital said.

The Androscoggin County Sheriff's Office shared two photos of the suspect, who was wearing a brown sweatshirt, and holding a rifle.

Authorities told residents in Lewiston to "shelter in place" and to "stay inside your home with the doors locked."

So far, he's been hitting places where he has an easy exit and there is a report he has changed clothing prior to shooting up the next place.

If that's true, his behavior is unusual in comparison to other mass shooters...he has planned this out so that he can survive and continue to another location for a mass shooting there too.

A bowling alley (on family night)...fuck...no place to hide there. Everybody there is shooting ducks especially when he's shooting at them from the only known exit (guarding that exit/entry door) with a heavy automatic assault weapon while carrying a backpack full of ammunition.

The mass shooter is a home-grown, U.S. military reservist, military weapons instructor, and recently in a mental illness facility for a few weeks...

You can not possibly blame Biden for such as much as you can blame his military commander who may have yelled at him when telling him to do extra push-ups at basic training.

Lewiston is a small city...about 36k people. If that city was not in the NorthEast and instead like in South Dakota or Kentucky...it would be considered a rural community (2k - 50k).

I've been to Lewiston once...drove thru a few years ago just prior to the Pandemic from Canada. You really can not determine their politics other than seeing some pro-Biden signs, NRA signs, pro-Trump signs, and so on. I think Biden won Lewiston because of one heavily populated ward whereas Trump won most of the wards.

If you're curious about some recent history about Maine's congressional members in congress...

Angus King, Republican Sen. Susan Collins and Democratic Rep. Chellie Pingree all voted or supported a bipartisan measure that would have required background checks for most gun sales. But the measure failed to get enough Republican support to get around the Senate filibuster...

Yet, in 2019, it was both rural Democrats and rural Republicans that blocked red-flag laws citing "due process" concerns.​

As I specifically outlined to you in another thread with charts, we have a big problem in our military. There's a home-grown threat...increasing with well-trained military soldiers while you're worried about people crossing our southern borders...

You're ignoring the guy with some mental problems, you may have gone to high school with and grew up with...that's now in the military and becoming more polarized by the bullshit politics in America. People like you continue ignoring these home-grown threats to civilians.

I trained with people like that and it's one of the reasons why I left the military. Too many extremists within our ranks that really didn't care about other Americans. Actually, they didn't care too much about immigrants. It's tougher to get them kicked out of the military until they become a danger to their fellow soldiers.

P.S. It's not the government responsibility to build you up...teach you right from wrong...teach you to value life. That's the responsibility of your Parents, relatives and friends while you were growing up.

Known to be nuts, housed in a nut case facility, history of making threats, what to do? Perhaps if we had of policy of treating mental illness rather than encouraging it some of this stupid shit wouldn't happen. Half of America under 25 have lost their god damn minds and what passes for leadership supports and facilitates it. Fox News host Sean Hannity described his mixed martial arts and second amendment training as part of is "personal security plan" in the event of a threat posed to him.

“I can literally probably count the seconds before an incident like this becomes politicized and that part of it I never like,” Hannity said to Haley, suggesting that as the nation moves from the shock of the event of the man going on a rampage.

Hannity stressed that the segue to politicizing the shooting is futile.

“Because that’s not going to bring back lives,” he said.
