all you lefties remind me why letting in immigrants even though we can't screen out terrorists is a something the left wants. Because clearly not all democrat voters wanted it.

Lefty government LEADERS want immigration to promote their objectives of "destroying the US and the west so that the world can have a NWO under global governance".... and probably for some money they expect to get from somewhere.
The Lefty voters appear to want it because they are gullible, stupid sheeple who blindly and vigorously support whatever the Hell they are brainwashed to want by the Lefty propaganda machine (MSM). The Lefty voters don't even understand how they are hosing their own lives... they just blindly follow as they're told. (I'm more than a bit surprised at the level of enthusiasm they show for committing their own cultural suicide.)

the one I think of is that... with the planets population explosion it is just a race to control resources and the current crop of financial elites figure by spreading drones who will vote crony/socialist they will get to ration the resources as they see fit. Whereaspeople who grew up with the western idea of freedom would never allow them to set up a such a caste system?

The Globalist NWO is all about power and control... surely to include resources and how they're allocated.
Western ideas of freedom can be stomped into the dirt if the elites get enough people brainwashed into Leftism. Personally, I'm concerned we're already there... except for the respite Trump may provide. Actually I'm hoping things get sooooo much better under Trump that the sheeple reject the Left and allow America to turn back towards the America the Constitution meant for us to be.
If the Lefties achieve the majority support in the west which they seek, the only way to get out from under their oppressive thumb will be a blood war, IMV. Cuba under the Castros and the former USSR are good examples. Hope I never have to see that.

By the way, that position of yours is classical Hayekian. Shown by vast experience to be incorrect. Markets don't just eventually reach full employment if you sit back and do nothing as Hayek said they would. He, like his disciple Alan Greenspan, were firm believers in classical equilibrium theory, which has turned out to be disastrously wrong.
Markets far out of equilibrium spontaneously move even further from equilibrium; not towards it. In other words, there is a tipping point for markets, and when they move past the tipping point they develop positive feedback and move even further from equilibrium. The examples of this are numerous and legendary.
The absurdity of your remark is not so much related to your comment on the income tax (there are other ways to fund government) but rather to the insanity of suggesting that we just print as much money as we need without connecting it to borrowing. I only included the introductory clause of your insane remark to put the part after the comma in context. Whether in or out of context, to suggest just printing money without tying it to debt is truly insane. All one would have to do is just look at what happened to the countries that tried to do this in any appreciable way. Yes, indeed you can expand the money supply, by true printing, a small amount to account for a growing population and therefore growing productivity, etc. But to do that just because you need money to pay your debts will lead to economic collapse and hyperinflation. The money will quickly become worthless.
