Another IB margin problem/glitch?

Hello everyone,

Starting today (or at least I noticed for the first time today), my initial margin in IB seems to have doubled somehow (maintenance margin stays "normal").

This is the margin (in euros) showing for one contract of mini-ES:

And this is the "right" margin, AFAIK:

So, after adjusting for the exchange rate between EUR and USD, you can see that the maintenance margin is as it should be ( 11657 EUR = 12670 USD, give or take), but the initial margin is [almost] ***double*** (23314 EUR is over 25000USD).

I haven't done anything unsual (haven't traded much lately) and I'm alway miles away from using up all my margin, quite the contrary (even with IB high margin requirements).

This was happening during RTH and in multiple futures (CL, 6J, etc.)

(For stocks, as far as I can tell, it was working as usual).

Before (last week?), I had about 13000 margin for overnight and about 8000 for intraday.

Anyone else with the same problem?

I was getting other isues like my account value is minus half a million dollar and I have a big negative balance or some positions that I don't have. These errors come and go but I open a ticek right a way and here is the IB response that might eb helpful to you too.

Please let us know if you are still seeing same behavior. If yes, upload diagnostics from TWS and IBKR Mobile app so that we can investigate this further.

Steps to upload diagnostics from TWS:
1. Make sure only the TWS is visible
2. Once the issue is fully displayed, on your keyboard select Ctrl+Alt+H. (Control + Option + H on Mac OSX) or click Help >> Upload Diagnostics
3. In the window that opens place a check next to "Include screenshot of entire desktop"
4. Click on "Submit”
5. Please wait for few seconds till you get Diagnostics uploaded to server prompt.

Steps to upload diagnostics from IBKR Mobile app:
Click on Menu >> Settings >> Advanced >> Upload Diagnostics
