Murder rate was basically the same everywhere on Earth trough history. And war casualties too.
But, the majority of humans through history were Asians (that is still the case today).
In fact Europe population was almost neglectable before the industrial revolution. And Africa was almost empty before the 20th century.
Now let’s look at what happened in Asia:
- Genghis Khan alone is responsible for 40 million death. More than the colonization of Africa (20 million of death over 2 centuries), the Napoleonic wars (6 million death) and the transatlantic slave trade combined.
- Mao Zedongs is responsible for 30 to 40 million death (with the famines caused by the great leap forward).
- Xianfeng Emperor is responsible for 30 million death (crushing the Taiping Rebellion).
- During the Second Sino-Japanese War from 1937 to 1945, the Japanese managed to kill 20 million Chinese.
100 billions of humans have lived on Earth, and the majority of them were Asian. So the greatest massacres all happened in Asia.
