Automobiles kill people. But we actively work to make vehicles and vehicle ownership safer & more responsible.

how can we make gun OWNERSHIP safer? (guns don't kill people, people kill people;so they say;wink wink) so, ownership is at question?

In fairness the OP did not advocate letting anyone and everyone own guns. He was quite specific in fact.

Okay let's play.

I completely agree on the automobile safer and responsible part. Do we not use newer technology to improve outcomes of a crash. Do car makers not attempt to get good safety ratings. Do we not have automobile laws or seat belts for safety and other regulations to protect drivers and passengers? Do you not have to pass a drivers exam to get your license? I can keep going and going, but you get the point..

If we didn't do the above, we'd be as unsafe as people in third world countries where if you don't move for larger vehicles you get hit. If you don't move from vehicles ways, you get hit. Vietnam is one example. The above obviously is helping making us safer like you said.

So how do we make guns ownership safer? Stricter gun regulation or laws obviously. There's absolutely no reason to take guns away, but you should be held accountable. Maybe you should get a firearm permit and all guns registered. Maybe much better background checks. If you have it stolen you should obviously have to contact authorities and report it. Things like that that could make it safer for us to step outside and not feel like we have to protect ourselves from any strangers. Obviously it won't make the problem go away, but if it helps the least bit than why not?

Now you go.

I'm also curious to see how OP's point of complete gun ownership for anyone without any checks or reasons should be legal can help to make a better world?

Enlighten me on how the above doesn't mean every citizen in America.

The OP wrote " It should be compulsory for all white Christian Americans at risk from evil Thugs such as Chris Harper Mercer to carry a gun. They must, by law, also carry guns if at risk from Muslim Terrorists."

His later statement referring to "All American patriots" must be read as modified by the initial reference to white Christian americans. I suspect he would be ok with conservative jews like murray the turtle packing also.

And if white Christian Americans can be trusted so much, why are we seeing so many racially motivated killings?
