When I worked at a hedge fund in Chicago I bought a historic home in Elmhurst (the home of the first doctor in the town... 1927) and took the train twice a day through Highland Park. Seemed like a nice quiet town.
I don't know what to make of young guys committing mass murders. Part of me wants to preserve my right to own guns and another part is positive that they have to be made far far less accessible, particularly to young stupid people.
But my idea that making the age for buying guns be 21 would not have prevented this.
For one I think the sentence for murder must be execution. In older times this served as a powerful deterrent. This guy will get life in prison, if convicted, and that is not a deterrent to these freaks. Execution by hanging would be best.

I did. They should have taught their son right and wrong.... morality... and then carried their own asses into some kind of evaluation as "being fit to parent" when the loser piece of shit got the first tattoo north of his fucking shoulders as a juvenile.
