I don't think I want to deal with any other topic until we have this out.

There are times when there will be a witness on the stand who can not prove what he is saying, he is simply stating what he saw. The fact that he cannot prove his words does not necessarily keep him from being an important witness.

Both a witness in court and the witness from the Scriptures are dealing with events that happened in the past and both are subject to difficulties in ascertaining the authentication of the witnessed events.

If the manuscripts that we have from the Old Testament were able to have been tampered with so that details about Jesus were written into them AFTER the events of Jesus life took place, then I would still believe because of other reasons, but I would understand someone who could not accept the validity of the Old Testament manuscripts based on the possibility of them having been tampered with by Christians.

BUT, there is NO possibility that Christians tampered with the Old Testament prophesies that we have copies of that originated before Jesus' time.

And there are some copies that exist.

Have you thought through the significance of this? Rather than the disciples writing the gospels from their coffins, we have quite a bit that points to Jesus that existed before Jesus was ever born.

Please answer me carefully on this, because I am very puzzled how there is a disconnect with you (and the rest of the people who don't see this).

Is the disconnect because you are not aware that these copies dating to before Jesus' time, actually exist?

Is the disconnect because you have read the prophesies that were written beforehand and you don't see them describing Jesus?

I would really like to know the answers to these questions.
