I agree, religion is not all bad.
Humans are drawn to it, there are many reasons, but humans suffer badly from bias, we can be biased both toward and against religion.
Religion is often considered sacred and speaking against it is not considered good manners.
I just want to place a spotlight on another point of view, without worrying too much about offending people.
I'll discuss biases for a moment. It could also be termed bigotry.
The bible absolutes HATES homosexual acts in people, preaches much about how abhorent it is.
King James it appears was homo.
My opinion.
Homos, or lets use the term Gay & Lesbian (G&Ĺ) is a fact of life.
There appear to be plenty with us in society.
My impression, many very successful, gifted, talented people are G&L.
Many surgeons, doctors, artists, airline pilots, politicians, etc from all walks of life are G&L. Might be to do with left brain, right brain.
Society appears to have stigma against G&L and imo, most of it stems from religion and its teachings.
Religious / christian people fucking hate criticism of their lifestyle, choice of life, religious beliefs, but hypocritically are amongst the first to criticize G&L lifestyles, they hate sin, but sin is natural and is with us daily.

I think trading makes a good analogy of life.
When we are real noob traders, we think if we keep hunting, we will find the holy grail to trading, some indicator, or a bunch of indicators, with magic parameter numbers which will unleash untold quick wealth. Gann is a good example of a charlatan pseudo religous quack trader who preached he had keys to secret numbers.
Mature traders realize there is no such thing as holy grail and work around the holy grail theme by being more practical in their approach methods.
Christians believe christianity is the holy grail to eternal life in heaven.
That's because they have been sold a dream by other dreamers ahead of them, it just keeps cascading down, no doubt, you will teach your children this enduring myth and they their children.
Strangely, not one shred of evidence other than faith in the bible.
But I HAVE found the Holy Grail in trading. I just haven't been trading it right. I need to do something about my habit of using tight stop losses, it's hurting more than helping. I am 100% convinced I'm right about this being the Holy Grail!!! Even though I'm being silly about it, I'm also telling the truth. Time will tell.
All the arguments about the Bible not being a good source for proving itself make me think about how stupid it would be for a prosecuting attorney to not be allowed to use any evidence from the crime scene because it was at the crime scene; he must only use evidence not associated with the crime scene.
One of these days I'm just going to have to hold you to the point of facing up to the Biblical prophesies.

I've been around lots of people who use the King James Bible, some who even hold to the KJV only (I have never understood that view), but NEVER have I heard a Christian revering King James for his work on the Bible.

Good points. Most Christianity, and Abraham, + old testament is about a relationship, not religion. Religion is many times against capitalism + common sense.

I think there is one HFT system in existence with near no drawdowns, but it's no one man band affair.

Christians love fantasies - fortelling the future, but somehow in reality never achieve it.
