Another AZ great idea - Fee to visit prisoners

Quote from Lucrum:

Just for the record, if it's not too much to ask, whats your opinion on Scotland's decision to free the Lockerbie bomber?

See, you can be civil, if you just try a little. :p .

Quote from Dragons Teeth:

I was not particularly happy about the decision...
Well you can't be all bad then. :)
...and the recent revelations that key witnesses were paid large sums of money to give testimony did not sit well with Scottish legal authorities.
I hadn't heard about this. Is this the real deal or something similar to all the conspiracy theory shit we have floating around in our country you think?

Ya'll should note that Judge Napolitano is firmly against this silly idea. Of course, he is an actual conservative libertarian all the time, not just when it's politically convenient.

Duly noted, I respect his opinion and usually agree with it.

Quote from bone:

Prison is an excellent use of my considerable tax dollars.

Actually it's a horrible use of our tax dollars. Hundreds of thousands spent per person keeping scumbags alive on death row. Millions spent on "rehabilitation" programs that are a complete failure. Millions spent on what is temporary housing for the mentally ill street people, (Another gift from Ronnie Rayguns). Shall I go on?

Everything's bigger and better in Texas (and all Southern States).

Since I live in Illinois, I rely on second best.
